Overview:

On September 9, 2024, the Canadian Association of Pension Supervisory Authorities (CAPSA) published the new Guideline for Capital Accumulation Plans (CAPs), Guideline No.3.

Why is this important? This marks the first change to the guidelines since they were introduced in 2004 – and this change reflects the evolution the defined contribution (DC) landscape has seen over the past 20 years. Plan sponsors have an opportunity to use these guidelines as blueprint for success in a group retirement savings program.

Watch the replay now to see how the new CAP Guidelines could impact your DC plan, such as:

  • The most important changes to the guidelines that plan sponsors should be aware of.
  • New risk management considerations including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.
  • Questions plan sponsors should be asking their consultants or advisors.
