What’s included in Total Remuneration Survey (TRS)

Annual Base Salary

How much are people paid? We include their monthly base salary, which is multiplied by the number of months of guaranteed salary, in the TRS.
Total Guaranteed Cash Compensation

The report lists the total amount of cash compensation an employee is guaranteed to receive (the base salary and annualized value of guaranteed allowances).
Annual Total Cash Compensation

Total guaranteed cash compensation plus the annualized value of short-term incentives, sales incentives, profit sharing or other incentive awards.
Total Direct Compensation

Total cash compensation plus the annualized value of any long-term incentive awards, valued using Black-Scholes methodology for appreciation-based awards.
Annual Total Remuneration

How does it all add up? The TRS includes the total amount of direct compensation plus the annualized value of all benefits to get total annual remuneration.
