Jason Adamiec, Principal, Mercer

War rages on in many parts of the world, and business travel continues in risky places near front lines. Jason Adamiec may be the best prepared to help clients with war risk coverage.

With clients in some risky places, Adamiec uses his geopolitical knowledge, his military background and his insurance skills to protect clients with the right coverage.

Being able to navigate the war risk threats and ensure the clients are receiving the best coverage, even for travel that may be confidential until it is completed, requires novel and creative solutions.

By negotiating for flexibility within the contract, given the challenges of timely reporting during a war, Adamiec gave his clients the freedom to perform their work without administrative burdens.

One client had redundant coverage with two different carriers by having both business travel accident and medical benefits abroad coverage. This was a decade-long challenge, and the client was overpaying for duplicative benefits for that entire time. After an in-depth analysis and identifying the gaps and overlaps in coverage, Adamiec recommended ways to streamline and consolidate the policies while maintaining coverage levels.

His client said, “Jason exhibited exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen understanding of our needs. His thorough and astute efforts resulted in a solution that not only achieves significant cost savings but also provides broader coverage, ensuring the protection of our most valuable asset: our employees.”
