  • Brett Gerard

    Virginia & Carolinas Office Leader

    With over 30 years of experience, Brett is a passionate and results-driven leader who has successfully led high-performance teams. He works closely with colleagues to meet clients' needs and collaborates with his Marsh McLennan partners to deliver exceptional service to the market. Brett holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government & Politics from George Mason University.

  • Kristin Henshaw

    Health Practice Leader, Richmond, VA

    Kristin is the Health Practice Leader for Virginia and  a Senior Health & Benefits Consultant in Mercer's  Richmond office. She leads client teams in developing and executing benefits strategy, with a focus on assisting clients with effective cost management and employee engagement. In her role as Practice Leader, Kristin is responsible for leading and developing Mercer's team of Health consultants in Virginia, growing Mercer's brand in the market and ultimately ensuring client satisfaction across our book of business.

  • Kathy Woollum

    Client Relationship Development, Richmond, VA

    Kathy Woollum is a Partner and Client Relationship Advisor to mid-market clients across Virginia. For the last 16+ years, Kathy has aligned the right Mercer people, tools and resources to help advance the health, wealth and careers of our clients' most vital asset — their  people. Kathy ensures that the Mercer team understands each client's business and people strategies so that, collectively, the team can parlay that knowledge into supporting a compelling, future-proofed total rewards strategy.

  • Suzanne Etherington

    Senior Client Manager, Richmond, VA

    Suzanne is a Partner and leads Mercer's largest relationships with domestic and global clients headquartered in Virginia, North Carolina and Washington D.C. She has a Master of Science in Organizational Change & Learning from Northwestern University and a B.A. from the University of Richmond. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for VCU Massey Cancer Center and the American Red Cross.

  • Catrina Thames

    Client Manager, Richmond, VA

    Trina is a Client Relationship Manager in Richmond, Virginia. Leading relationships with large domestic clients headquartered in Central Virginia ensuring holistic, and seamless delivery from design to execution of Mercer’s entire portfolio of advisory services which include Mergers & Acquisitions, Career/Talent, Digital Strategy, Retirement & Investment and Health.  Trina is also an Integrated Nutrition Health Coach and received her education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and Maryland University of Integrated Health.  She is a member of the 2023 Class of Lead Virginia.

    David is a Senior Health & Benefits Consultant in Mercer's Richmond, VA office and focuses on strategic planning, vendor oversight and financial management. He has 30 years of experience helping clients optimize the overall value of their health and welfare programs.

  • Arlene Potts

    Senior Health & Benefits Consultant, Norfolk, VA

    Arlene is a Consultant in Mercer’s Health practice based out of Virginia and has been with Mercer over 20 years. In her role, she works closely with clients to manage the delivery of all health and benefits consulting services. She also coordinates with specialty resources as needed and manages carrier service delivery.

    US Health Actuarial and Financial Group Practice Leader, Richmond, VA

    Frank is a Partner in Mercer’s US Health business, serving as Actuarial and Financial Group (AFG) Practice Leader. He ensures that his team contributes to profitable revenue growth by efficiently delivering actuarial and financial consulting that is insightful, and that exceeds professional standards. 

  • Eric Woods

    East Zone Financial Leader, Richmond, VA

    Eric leads the Actuarial & Financial Group (AFG) within the East Zone of Mercer’s US Health business.  In his role, Eric’s primary focus is to ensure Mercer’s financial work is delivered under the highest standards of quality and accuracy.  To that end, he is responsible for the ongoing training, growth, and development of AFG colleagues within the Zone. Eric is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

  • Mason Shea

    Consulting Health Actuary, Richmond, VA

    Mason leads the development of the tools and solutions produced by the actuarial group within Mercer’s US Health business. As such he is heavily involved in intellectual capital projects, being the technical architect of tools that evaluate claims volatility, estimate provider quality, and manage disability valuations, among others. He sits on Mercer’s Health Innovation Council, the VA Chamber of Commerce Health Care Executive Committee, and is a member of Mercer’s Health Policy Team. He also sits on the Board of Virginia Health Information.

  • Chris Dickens

    Office Actuarial Leader, Richmond, VA

    Chris leads the Actuarial & Financial Group (AFG) in the Richmond office. In this role he supports the growth and development of Richmond AFG colleagues, and ensures that the Richmond AFG is positioned to bring Mercer's strong strategic financial resources to clients. Chris is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in economics and math.

  • Erin Herndon

    Senior Global Consultant, Richmond, VA

    Erin is a Senior Principal Consultant within Mercer's Multinational Advisory practice. Her experience focuses on identifying, designing, recommending and implementing efficient business solutions to clients' complex HR challenges on a global scale. 

  • Lisa Oswald

    US MercerAUDIT Leader, Richmond, VA

    Lisa is a Partner and the US MercerAUDIT Leader. During her 28 years in the industry, her passion has been in the pharmacy benefit and vendor audit space. Driving health plan value for employers and members, removing waste in the healthcare space, and regulatory compliance as it impact employers are the impetus for how she helps her clients with their vendor management strategy.

  • LaCinda Glover

    VA Career Leader, Richmond, VA

    LaCinda Glover is a Senior Principal in Mercer’s Career business and specializes in workforce and executive total rewards. LaCinda has been with Mercer for over 15 years. In addition to her consulting role, she is the Office Business Leader for the Career practice in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia and works with tax-exempt organizations, publicly-traded corporations, and privately-held companies in a variety of industries.

    Senior Retirement Consultant, Richmond, VA

    Mike is a Principal in the Wealth business with Mercer in Richmond. He serves as a Lead Retirement Consultant for a variety of clients.

  • Ken Lowe

    Investment and Retirement Consultant, Richmond, VA

    Ken Lowe is a Senior Principal within the Wealth division of Mercer and a team leader for Mercer’s defined contribution consulting business.  He works closely with retirement plan sponsors, including senior leadership and related Committees, to help them fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities and achieve their strategic objectives.

  • Amy Reynolds

    Partner - Defined Contribution Plans, Richmond, VA

    Amy is a Partner and consultant in Mercer's Wealth business. As a senior defined contribution and financial wellness consultant, Amy is a member of Mercer's Defined Contribution Committee which provides strategic direction for the business and drives Mercer's intellectual capital and research in this area.
