Mercer appoints Catherine Sacks US East Zone Leader

Mercer, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC) and a global leader in helping clients realize their investment objectives, shape the future of work and enhance health and retirement outcomes for their people, has named Catherine Sacks its US East Zone Leader, effective January 20. In this role, she will report to Susan Potter, Mercer’s US and Canada President.
“Catherine’s extensive experience leading engagements with our large client segment as well as her tenure as a CHRO make her the perfect fit for this leadership position,” said Ms. Potter. “I am certain that with her leadership, the East Zone will continue to thrive.”
Based in the Tri-State area, Ms. Sacks will lead sales and revenue growth for Mercer’s East Zone, overseeing 22 states spanning from Maine to Florida. In her new role, she will concentrate on providing outstanding experiences for both clients and colleagues. She succeeds Stephanie Penner, who was recently named Mercer’s US and Canada Career Leader.
Ms. Sacks joined Marsh McLennan more than 12 years ago. She most recently served as Mercer’s US & Canada Large Client Segment Leader and successfully drove engagements with clients with over 5,000 employees. Prior to this role, Ms. Sacks led strategy for the US & Canada Client Management team. She began her career at Marsh McLennan as Guy Carpenter’s Chief Human Resources Officer, a position she held for four years.
