Mercer appoints Stephanie Penner as US & Canada Career Leader

Mercer, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC) and a global leader in helping clients realize their investment objectives, shape the future of work and enhance health and retirement outcomes for their people, has named Stephanie Penner as its US and Canada Career Leader, effective today. In this role, she will report to Susan Potter, Mercer’s US and Canada President, and Ilya Bonic, Mercer’s Career President and Head of Strategy.
Ms. Penner will focus on evolving Mercer’s US and Canada Career strategy to deliver greater client value, boost brand presence and foster an engaged and agile Career team across the region. She succeeds Susan Haberman, who was named Mercer’s US and Canada Chief Strategy and Growth Officer earlier this year.
“Stephanie has been with Mercer for over 25 years and has consistently demonstrated her commitment to driving growth and client satisfaction,” said Ms. Potter. “Her extensive experience in the US Career practice, combined with her talent for fostering collaboration across our businesses, positions her as the right leader to elevate our US and Canada Career strategy and provide outstanding value to our clients.”
Ms. Penner joined Mercer in 1998 in the Career practice, progressing from consultant to Office Practice Leader and then to Zone Practice Leader. In 2019, she transitioned to Tri-State Office Leader, in which she championed the go-to-market strategy for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut before assuming her role as East Zone Leader in 2021.
